One of the main activities organized by Connecting Worlds DK is volunteering together at Roskilde Festival, Denmark’s largest music festival.
Every year our community forms a volunteer team that helps with festival operations while experiencing the festival together.
Roskilde Festival is known not only for its music, but also for its strong volunteer culture. Thousands of volunteers contribute every year, and the festival is run as a non profit event.
Volunteering Together
As part of our team, members volunteer for a number of shifts during the festival. In return, volunteers receive access to the full festival experience.
Volunteering together also makes it easier to meet people and become part of a community during the festival.
Many members say this is one of the best ways to experience Roskilde Festival.
Our Community at the Festival
During the festival we create a small base for our volunteers where people can meet and relax outside their shifts.
This space usually includes:
- a place to sit and hang out
- coffee and drinks
- board games
- a relaxed hygge atmosphere
It becomes a natural meeting point where volunteers can spend time together between concerts and shifts.
An International Team
Connecting Worlds DK brings together volunteers from many different countries. In recent years our team has included people from more than 20 nationalities.
This international mix is part of what makes the experience special. It is a chance to meet people from all over the world while sharing the festival together.
